How to extend the service life of linear vibrating screen?

Back to list Release Date:2025-08-19

To extend the service life of the linear vibrating screen, one can start with correct operation, regular maintenance, and optimized material handling. The specific methods are as follows:

correct operation

Uniform feeding: Use appropriate feeding equipment, such as feeders, to ensure that the material enters the vibrating screen evenly and continuously, avoiding excessive or insufficient feeding, preventing uneven accumulation or local overload of materials on the screen surface, thereby reducing local wear on the screen mesh and body, and ensuring the normal operation and screening effect of the vibrating screen.

Control feed particle size: Strictly control the particle size of the material entering the vibrating screen to avoid exceeding the maximum allowable particle size of the equipment. Excessive material particles may cause excessive impact on the sieve, leading to damage and affecting the vibration characteristics of the vibrating screen, increasing equipment load and wear.

Avoid no-load starting and stopping: Before starting the vibrating screen, the material should be added to the screen surface to allow the screen to start vibrating with the material, avoiding the vibration motor from bearing large impact currents during no-load starting; When parking, the feeding should be stopped first, and the power should be turned off after the material on the screen is basically screened to prevent the material from accumulating on the screen and affecting the next start-up and normal operation of the equipment.

Regular maintenance and upkeep

Check the sieve: Regularly inspect the wear of the sieve. If any damage, looseness, or blockage is found, it should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. For parts that are prone to wear and tear, some protective measures can be taken, such as installing wear-resistant lining plates or using high-strength mesh materials. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the installation tension of the screen is appropriate, as being too loose or too tight can affect the service life of the screen.

Lubrication and maintenance: According to the instructions of the equipment, regularly lubricate key components such as vibration motors, exciters, bearings, etc. Choose the appropriate lubricant and ensure that the amount of grease added is appropriate. Good lubrication can reduce friction between components, reduce wear, extend the service life of components, and also help lower the operating temperature of equipment and improve its stability.

Inspection of fastening components: Regularly check the connecting bolts, nuts, and other fastening devices of each component of the vibrating screen to ensure that they are in a tightened state. Due to the vibration generated by the equipment during operation, these fasteners are prone to loosening. If not detected and tightened in a timely manner, it may lead to loose connections between components, abnormal vibrations and noise, and even cause component damage or equipment failure.

Cleaning equipment: Regularly clean the screen surface and body of the vibrating screen to remove materials, dust, and debris attached to it. Especially for materials with high viscosity, it is necessary to clean them in a timely manner to prevent the accumulation of materials on the sieve and affect the screening efficiency. At the same time, it is also necessary to avoid material corrosion of the sieve and the machine body, and maintain the good working condition of the equipment.
